Mr. David Edwards
Director of School Counseling
Dave Edwards had been in LCPS for the past 6 years. Prior to working in LCPS, Dave practiced school counseling in high schools in North Carolina, Virginia and New York. He earned a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Business from Penn State University. Later, he earned a MS Ed in K-12 School Counseling from SUNY Oneonta and a MS Ed in Leadership and School Supervision from the University of Virginia. Prior to being a school counselor, he worked in forestry, owned a gourmet popcorn store, and was a sandwich artist in high school. For fun, Dave enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, and cooking with his son. He loves speaking Spanish and making terrible puns.

Greetings Titan Territory!
My name is Jennifer French, and I am a school counselor for last names A-B. I made my start as a high school English teacher at my alma mater in Southern California.
I graduated from San Diego State University in 1994. Go Aztecs! I then earned my Single Subject California Teaching Credential in English & Comparative Literature in 1999. In 2020, I graduated from Prescott College in Arizona with my Master's in Education, School Counseling degree.
Currently, three of my children are home with me, while my oldest is a sophomore majoring in Opera Studies and German.
Being a school counselor has been my dream since age 15. I believe we are born with specific talents and passions. What are yours?!

Mrs. Amanda Brougham

Hello!
I’m excited to have joined the Dominion community this year! I have over 18 years of work experience in education and mental health. I grew up in New England (Go Patriots, Bruins, and Red Sox- it’s okay, we can still be friends 😊). After undergrad, I moved to the tri-state area where I met my husband who was serving as a US Army officer. We have three children and a white lab named Loch (which is Gaelic for lake).
My undergraduate degree is in Child Psychology. I have a master’s in professional School Psychology and a master’s in education in School Counseling. While my husband served, we traveled around a lot. I have worked as a teacher, educational consultant, in clinical mental health, as a school psychologist, and school counselor.
Here are some more fun facts about me:
- My first job out of college was working as a therapist in an inpatient crisis mental health hospital
- I have lived in 7 states and have visited 40 of the 50 states
- I love sports! My favorite to watch is football and I enjoy watching my son play hockey and my three children play lacrosse. My favorite to play is lacrosse.
- My favorite food, burgers (turkey, beef, veggie, Impossible burgers- love them all)
- I love to snack on veggies with humas
- I stopped drinking caffeine 7.5 years ago but do love a decaf from Starbucks :D
- Current favorite TV show, Stranger Things. Past favorite, Friends
- I absolutely love exploring with my family in the mountains or beach side.
- I’m a big fan of Bar Taco and would say that’s my current favorite restaurant
- Favorite candy: Swedish Fish. Favorite chocolate Bar: 3 Musketeers

Mrs. Sarah Bustard
Last Names F-I
Hello Titans! I am excited to have joined Dominion this year and work with students who have last names beginning with the letters F through I. After 12 years working as a school counselor in Washington, D.C. and Alexandria City, I moved to Loudoun County this summer. I have worked with students in grades Pre-K through 12 and high school is my favorite level. I am passionate about supporting students with overcoming obstacles in order to reach their full potential and postsecondary goals.
Here are a few fun facts about me:

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from James Madison University (Go Dukes!). I was a 2008 recipient of the JMU All Together One Award. If you go on a campus visit, you will find a brick with my name on it outside of the main campus dining hall.

Running is my stress relief and I have completed 2 marathons.

I will eat appetizers over dessert any day of the week.

My favorite coffee mug can hold at least 3 cups of coffee and has pictures of my two young children on it. They are the main reason I drink so much coffee!

Ms. Nicole Winfree

Hi Titan Territory! My name is Nicole Winfree and I am a school counselor here at Dominion High school. This is my 6th year working in education and my 4th year as School Counselor. I grew up in Alexandria, VA and after graduating from high school I attended the University of Virginia (WAHOOWA!) where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Politics and the University of Maryland (Go Terps!) where I earned my Master of Education in School Counseling. I've worked at schools in Boston and Northern Virginia before making Titan Territory my home!I started my counseling career at Dominion High School and love working with the students and families within this community. Being able to help students navigate the ups and downs of high school is something that I truly enjoy.In my free time I love spending time with my friends and family, watching tv shows and movies, and trying new foods. It’s always a great day to be a Titan!
I joined the school counseling team at Dominion way back in 2012. I’m Northern Virginia born and raised and earned my degrees from the College of William & Mary (Go Tribe!) and the University of Virginia (Wahoowa!) I love spending time outdoors with my husband and our three children.
My favorite part of being a school counselor is helping my students overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. High school is an exciting and sometimes challenging phase of life, and I’m here to support our Titans to make the most of their experience.

Hi Dominion family,
I am Shannon Nieves, new school counselor for students with the last names Q-Sm. I can’t wait to get to know our Titans and their families. Thanks for letting me share a little bit about myself below:
· I am a Herndon native and graduated from Herndon High School, currently raising my family in the town of Herndon
· I played soccer in college for George Mason University and still play competitively in an adult league at Dulles Sportsplex
· I worked at Northern Virginia Community College in Loudoun for my entire career before making the switch to K-12 education this past August 2022
· My favorite food is ice cream
· I practice Baptiste power yoga in my free time
· I have 3 young children
· My dog’s name is Tango he is a mini golden doodle, and we are training him to become a therapy dog
· My favorite restaurant is Glory Days Grill
· My favorite movie/tv show genre is HORROR (i.e., working on season 11 of TWD
